He is also a food blogger so I think I will get more inspiration from him in the future!
Commonwealth Food Centre, for people who do not know where is it.
It is beside the old Queens Town Cinema, it is also 10 minutes walk from Queens Town MRT.
同心居 is situated at level two of Commonwealth Food Centre.
Their stall is at the corner of the Food Centre, so it wont be difficult to find.
This is a stall that sell Shanghai dishes like steam / fried dumplings and fried 'nian gao'.
They serve chinese tea here. It comes in both hot and cold tea.
Whats more..It is selling at 10 cent per cup and is FREE FLOW!
Where can we find this kind of deal in Singapore!
Their chili sauce and vinegar with shredded ginger for the dumplings coming up later..
Here comes their steam dumplings..
The filling is full with minced pork and some vegetables.
It goes well with the vinegar and shredded ginger.
They serve in a plate of 10 dumplings at $4.
So it is 40 cents per dumplings. Cheap Cheap Cheap!
Their seafood hokkien mee..
Hmm I prefer those KL hokkien mee which is alot darker and sweeter.
Still not too bad for a $4 per plate hokkien mee.
It must be taken once serve, it will turns soggy once cold.
The picture on the right is fried dumplings, also selling at $4 in a plate of 10 dumplings.
I would prefer the steam dumplings than the fried dumplings.
For people who want to eat budget food, this is the place!
Its so cheap..Dumplings at 40 cent each and free flow tea at 10 cent.
The food centre is very cooling in the afternoon and this is one of the few old hawkers left in Singapore.
Come visit here soon..these types of hawkers are declining le..
